So a small preface, this car is completely stock except for a ZZP aftermarket Intake.
Okay, so i was trying to launch about a month ago, I mashed the brake down and started revving the engine got it up between 3k and 4k RPM. The light took a little longer than expected to change and as I was about to let off the gas, it kind of just "ate it" lurched forward and went kinda limp for a second. It drives okay with no CEL no leaks or anything like this. I noticed something was wrong immediately as i had been driving it everyday for a year and a half.
As of now, when i press the gas, I can hear the turbo spool up, at the same time, i hear the waste-gate dumping pressure. My gauges never go past 4psi now (If i'm lucky, usually never gets past 0) when before i was getting between 16-19 psi.
I've replaced the MAP sensor thinking it was giving a wrong reading.
I also went ahead and did the bypass the bypass mod AFTER this happened, it seems to have a little more pip in its step, but still no boost.
PCV valve is still intact, and i reran all the vacuum lines just to be safe.
I took it to the dealership but all they did was put it down as "Loss of power" and of course, they never find anything wrong with it. You can't really hear the spooling/dumping with the stock airbox. and if there is no CEL, these techs act like i'm retarded, so no luck there.
Before i buy a new intake manifold or try and take apart the turbo, does anyone have any idea what this could be? Any suggestions?
I'm also thinking my wastegate may be broken, as it does spool, but it starts to dumb immediately..
Again, no check engine lights, or anything other than the boost being dumped...
Any help is greatly appreciated, and I can provide more info if necessary.
