Turbos: Aftermarket Affair

Obviously a aftermarket turbo would void the warranty and a tune would be must but how long will we have to wait for a "bolt on" turbo from an aftermarket vendor? I'd love to see a company like turbonetics develop a variable geometry version.

As a side question. Does anybody know what the pistons are made of? Hopefully forged aluminum.

both questions have been discussed and answered. There are a couple of "specs" threads out there and there is no current twin scroll turbo application but Vince at Trifecta has already swapped a larger turbo. Search is your friend.

Not sure about how long before a bolt on turbo comes out yet. Although one for the Cruze 1.4T recently came out, so it probably won't be too long. (Unless you want to try to slap the Cruze turbo kit on the Sonic...)
