Uncontrolled Acceleration

Was driving into the parking lot at work today when my lil buddy just starting taking off on me. Cranked up to about 6K RPMs. I braked and popped it into Neutral and then shut him down immediately. Never had that happen in any vehicle and it definitely was a shocker. No probs when I started him back up.

It's obvious he isn't talking a bout a Toyota as he was able to put it in neutral and shut it off. The Toyota reports said nothing the drivers did would stop the vehicles.


Now, if I was the op I would get rid of my tune and take it to the dealer immediately. I doubt the tune had anything to do with it so removing it shouldn't change anything.

Let's ask the obvious question.

You sure your pedal didn't sang on the mat? Are you using factory mats or aftermarket? Are your mats attached to the clips in the floor to prevent them from moving around?
