Underoath disbanding

I just read today that my favorite band Underoath is disbanding. This can't be true! I'm extremely saddened by this. I don't want to see them go.

I was sad when St. Sat B disbanded. They were just a small-time indie band from New Jersey that barely managed to make one CD. They weren't great, but for an up-and-maybenotsocoming band they were pretty good, so when I learned that they were no longer it was a little unsettling. Never saw them IRL but I heard a couple of their songs a long time ago that I really liked. =/

Define the Great Line was my last one that I even remotely enjoyed.
They're Only Chasing Safety is by far my favorite.

I bought tickets to their farewell tour. I'll be flying to Tampa, FL in January.

Underoath died for me when the original vocalist Dallas Taylor and the two original guitarists left. Went from metal to hardcore/emo. But props to them as they became much more popular with the switch, i just wish they changed their name bc they are a completely different band.

yeh their first album is from 1998 and is black metal/hardcore album. its only like five songs but the album length is almost an hr.

I have to say my favorite album by them at the moment is Define The Great Line. I find myself listening to that one a lot.

Yeh you should check out hopesfall if you like the underoath sound. Underoath was heavily influenced by them.

Similar genre as Underoath, but less clean vocal parts, and mostly just screamo. hahaha :banana:
