USB powered

I searched through the forum and could not locate an answer. If I leave my iPod plugged in, is the USB port always on, or when i shut the car off - will the USB power drop.

Now that i think of it, I guess I could just go and experiment with it plugged in.

Car is on other side of my office building. Thought I would ask. Thanks in advance.

The plug will shut off when the key is not switched on. So if your phone has been plugged in while your car sits off, it won't be charged :/
