Weathertech Floor Mats

I've had my sonic for 1 year and the driver's side floor mat is now worn through. I wasn't paying attention until I just looked at it yesterday. The carpeting underneath is now worn. I can't believe that this appears to have happened so quickly. I thought most floor mats last longer than a year. My dad has a 2004 Malibu with the original floor mats. These oem floor mats must be cheap to wear out so quickly. Thanks a lot GM! 
I guess I'll just have to invest in a Husky floor mat set. I found it on Amazon.

I bought Husky floor mats through Amazon. I chose this because of the high dead pedal covering. The mats fit perfectly and snap right in.

I agree. Husky's are a must for any car exposed to all the elements.

So I recently bought a set of front Weathertech floor mats and once I gave them a thorough cleaning they looked real good. Installed the passenger side and ... PERFECT! Went to install the Drivers side a d met an ultimate failure. I guess the insert tabs were worn or something because the Mat will not attach to the buttons and it's absolutely worthless without them because of safety issues. Don't buy used as you'll be pissing your money into somebody else's pocket.

go back and try again ! i had the same issue with the drivers side . i got frustrated and gave up for the night , gave it another shot in the morning and boom when in with no problems. i felt like an idiot because i messed around with that thing for like an hour a day b4 . make sure the floor is clean , little rocks and sand can get inthere and make the snaps a real pain in the a$$!

I had this same problem. wrote off my sonic took them out put them in my new sonic and one day it was off couldn't figure out why. now I see it... the plastic retaining ring on the inside broke off... weather tech email says " frequent removing and reattaching of the mats cause normal wear and tear. We unfortunately do not sell replacement clips." then they offered me a 20% discount on a new set.

I've always just had regular floor mats in my vehicles. But this Sonic is the newest car I've ever owned. It's in great condition and I want to keep it that way. So I splurged on a set of Huskyliners. After only a week, it's amazing how much water and muck have collected in them. All I can think is that a good portion of that slop would have gone into the carpet, if not for the liners. So to me, Huskyliners are a necessity, not an option. And mine fit perfectly. They look like they are a part of the car.

Just as a heads up, there are 2 different versions of the floor mats. If you look on the drivers side mat on the plastic pin, it will say 2.0 or something along those lines. I don't know what the other version will say. I think this may be the reason some of the mats don't line up.
