Looking for some help here. I thought that this sound, which changes with engine revs, was perhaps the PCV valve, so changed the valve cover......nope. It sounds like it is coming from the back left upper side of the engine, so I ruled out a tensioner or pulley - perhaps I should not have ruled that out.
If anyone know what this could be, I would appreciate some direction. I have 3 Sonics, and funny enough I have never heard this before - I thought I had stumbled across all the regular issues by now. Strangely enough, one of my other cars now has a similar sound, but very faint - maybe the start of the same issue.
