What did you pay? 2019

Hey guys, looking to get a 2019 Sonic. I am not sure of the body style yet Sedan/Hatchback, but just looking to get an idea of what you guys spent for a new 2019 Sonic.

If you think you got a great deal what was your tactic?

But I figured I would kick off a new topic to incorporate other body styles as well (other than RS).


I've been driving a 2008 Cobalt for a while putting 100 miles a day on it. Great car, and last week someone rear ended me at high speed and totaled it. So I have to unexpectedly look for a new car, and the Sonic seems like a decent replacement to the Cobalt.

I am just indecisive of the sedan vs hatchback. The hatchback would be nice since I take my dog for rides often, assuming the seats fold down, that would give her some more room.

I've had no issues with my 2013 really, only hit 58k on it just recently though. I'd buy another hatchback for sure, seats folding down is a nice touch

If you are driving a lot, you may appreciate the slightly better fuel economy of a sedan. To be honest, the Sonic underperforms in MPGs compared to many newer designed cars (many larger), like the Cruze which also has a 1.4t, but is direct injected.

Some of us appreciate the tried and true though, myself included. I don't mind a few less MPGs to avoid stop/start and keep port injection. The sonic LT is a great package for the price.

I personally went HB for the appearance and I like that the car is about 1 foot shorter than the sedan. It's my first HB (previously had sedans) and I really like the practicality for transporting large objects.
