Whats the first thing you did with your sonic?

I'm also still on my first clutch at 120k.

Sad to say I'm on my fourth... BUT I replaced the original clutch not due to failure but because I was told I needed an aftermarket clutch before Trifecta would give me all the available power that their E85 tune could deliver. Blew through two aftermarket clutches in 5 months, got an OEM one put in as a stopgap... and have happily run with that ever since, and with increasingly more and more power well above what Trifecta said the original clutch could not possibly handle. I think the new one is a 2013 clutch, though, so not sure if the 2012 model would have been so robust.

Got rid of the dealer badges, looking for a new shifter the throw is fine, but the knob is just shoddy. The rubberized part is kinda separating from the main assembly. Also don't like the rubber part either. Was bummed when I found that it's not a threaded knob.

Also, god damn with the clutches. This is the easiest manual I've ever driven. Although the bite on my clutch is literally a millimeter from resting position. Not sure if that means it's worn or the clutch itself. I baby out of first, i mean I just take an extra second. I don't like jerking around in my car. But if you want a fun manual to drive, try a rx7 they're not the easiest cars to drive.

Then the tune, intake, exhaust removal in that order. The red aluminum valve stem covers off Ebay for $2.50 was the last splurge!

Drove it from Detroit MI to NC in 1 day (800 miles). Long drive but worth it for the deal.

I hear that. Drove 2,400 miles from Traverse City Michigan to Seattle Washington, via Chicago, in 38 hours nonstop. Counting the total cost of the trip, and yes that includes lost pay from taking four days to get there, visit family, and get back, I still saved 3k on the car.
