Ok this might be a dumb question but I have never had a car until I purchased my LT Hatch that I wanted to get aftermarket wheels I'm thinking of either 16" or 17" but my question is if I decided on 16" wheels because its such a small difference in size from the stock 15" would you be able to use the same tires ? Or even though its so close in size would it still be to big of a difference where you would absolutely have to get new tires to fit the larger wheels. I dont have much experience when it comes to wheels and tires so just wanted to ask and see what I could find out again sorry if this a dumb question to ask.

No, you will need a 16" tire for the 16" wheel if you go that route, period. Same goes for 15's, 17's, 18's, 20's, etc, etc, etc......

yeah, NEVER put a size smaller diameter on a bigger wheel.
They use a steel cord inside the tire I believe to help it bead to the wheel....if not steel, some nylon'ish material.
Needless to say it wouldn't fit, and if it did would damage your tire beyond repair. No shop would install them either.
