They said the same to me, They wanted to do a tranny flush and an injector cleaning.
I can do both of those myself while following the manuals severe schedule.
That said, I probably voided my "lifetime powertrain warranty" since that said you have to have all service performed at the dealership.
You can do your own maintenance without voiding the warranty if you keep records of the work you do and receipts for the parts installed. In other words, be able to prove the work was done. I get my work done by a local shop & keep the receipts. The only thing that voids a warranty is if they can prove that you did something or installed something that caused the problem. They can't legally require you to have service done in their shop unless they do it for free (as in a warranty repair).
