I have these on the fronts. Stock hankooks on the rear for now. When I asked the guy at the tire shop how they would affect MPG. He said they would probably lower the gas milage a little. Surprisingly my gas milage has increased. Nothing drastic .3-.5 MPG.
I ran the DWS' on my Sonic and they performed great in all the weather condition of Fl and Scot is enjoying them in the north now with no complaints. If you don't need a all season I would recommend the Conti DW, I went with the DWS due to spring flooding and lots of rain.
Toyo Proxes 4 plus, 205/50 r17, night and day difference from the stock Hankook's. The Proxes are an all season tire, no longer have any trouble in the snow.
I just installed a set of 4 and I have to admit, they are the best All Season tire that I've ever had on my 2012 Sonic LTZ Hatchback 1.4L 6-speed manual!
They were highly recommended for the area that I live (Pacific Northwest).
And on the sidewall it say's "Made in the U.S.A."
Hankook Ventus V2 concept 205/55/16. So far I have put on 4000kms, road noise is not heard, great in the wet and nice grip for spring and summer. These tires just came into the market December 2013.
Just put a set of Michelin Premiers on my 2013 Sonic Hatchback today. Dealer inflated the tires to 35 PSI front and rear with nitrogen and recommended 35 for a more comfortable ride. Initial impression: softer, quieter ride than what I had on the car. It feels like the tires are glued to the pavement. I'll try the 35 PSI setting for a while and in the meantime do a little research of the 35 PSI vs. the Sonic recommended 38 PSI.
If anyone has information on running with the lower tire pressure let me know.
