I’m blowing lots of smoke from exhaust after installing the RacerX intake manifold and 42# injectors. Just don’t know what to do or why this is happening. Any advice would be great. Thanks
Yah that's correct from what I understand. Well white smoke usually means coolant burning, steam due to condensation on cold starts, and in some cases light oil burning. Check your coolant level after the engine cools for loss, also look into your pcv valve. See if the little port under the ignition coil cover on your valve cover is sucking air at idle.
Probably your pcv. Definitely suspect since you changed your intake. Pull your cold air intake from your turbo and see if there is oil build up at the pcv return from the hose that comes from the valve cover. Also pull your plugs and see if they are wet or brown. Probably just burning oil vapor. Does it idle ok?
There was a ton of oil in there and I pulled the intake again and it was everywhere and in the throttle body. Honestly I think I’m just gonna port the OEM intake and put that back on with the Cruze kit. It idles fine though
Well what would I have to replace? I got the new pcv system with the manifold. It’s all brand new. I was thinking maybe I put the valve the wrong way on the pcv lines. I have the arrow pointing from the manifold to the turbo.
Yah that's correct I think. Could be the valve cover one way valve. Did you get the kit and block the port with the acrylic and stopper? Maybe that failed? Should be able to look down it with a flash light.
