...don't my radio shut off when I open and close the passenger door? Could have swore it used to.

Mine has only ever done that when the driver door is opened. It's just making sure the passenger knows that the driver is running the show

Call your local dealer there is a recall to fix it.

I think it's driver's door only. The recall is for a warning chime which doesn't go on after the radio has been on with the car off, but key in for 10 minutes or more I believe

its driver door only that kills the radio. maybe u opened the passenger door right at the 10 min mark and the radio shut off making u think it was u opening the door that shut it off

before you leave the dealer after having the BCM reprogrammed make sure your backup cam works LOL.
there's an issue with the software update that disables it

Mine has always done this, before and after the update. The update is just for the door chime.

RAP for the radio is only on the Driver's door on the Sonic. No idea why, but I think some other new GM products do it this way as well.
