Plus, I figured you would know more about the tuning solution that your user name is based after (or is that the Yamaha VMax and just a coincidence?!) as well as the huge advertisement for their tuning in your signature....

Yes, facts suck. Sorry. Lets let all the members know what the facts are unless you're against passing knowledge among members and letting them choose the tuning solution. But, I'm sure you're against that from your quoted post....

To be honest i am going to go with Vtuners tune.If you really take a good look at each companys dyno info.Vtuner has better results.The mid and upper range is better.Its also done with a little less boost.I really think the guy(Brian knows his programing well) The key is keeping incomeing air temps down and more boost is not always better

And that is completely your choice. There is nothing wrong with Vtuner. Like I stated above it's a choice. I was just stating facts of what Trifecta can provide vs Vtuner. If you're just going to go with the basic bolt ons or anything they develop you're probably good. One thing I say is ask them how many Sonic's they have tested on (dyno or in car street tuning) before going with them though. Trifecta owns two Sonic 1.4t's (one is an RS) as personal testing vehicles.

I see the 1.8 come up a lot.For 1 thing i don't like timing belts and i will say i have seen a number of the 1.8s in the avero break timing belts.And yes they were right at the recommended time to change them or shortly after.And when they do the valves also get bent in the process.Often the belt tensioners fail and in turn the belt breaks.Anyway the 1.4T is hot as other recent turbos are.The key is a slick programmer can get right around 30% more power out of them.And if done correctly Driveability and Durability are retained in the engine.

How else is he gonna try and catch up to your post count?

Honestly Sub, this is going to continue till the death of the sonic, there will always be more options out for the 1.4 vs. the 1.8. You should start to accept that or buy a 1.4, but turning almost every thread into a "why no love for the 1.8" is getting annoying... we know you want aftermarket stuff, but the model you bought is a less attractive engine to aftermarket suppliers.

Well i tuned it and it runs great no issues at all.How do these numbers look !
