Not as ominous as it sounds. I just got the Trifecta tune and I fine myself on someone's butt regardless of how far away they were initially when I get on it even just a little. Then I have to use the brakes fairly hard to maintain a safe distance. I wil be going through lots of brake pads at this rate.

Indeed, have you seen the price of the Brembos for just the front and no rear option?! I would cosider the whole set for that price but not just the fronts. So, you're right by cheap, I mean a "great deal".
I'm going to assume you do not drive in excess at any point of the day other than early morning or evening when no one is on the road!! And absolutely never come out on to a road and try and get up to speed.....

Of course, I do, but there's a time and place for everything. Getting on someone's ass and then braking hard is not the best idea. So either don't do that - give yourself more space - or find a different road, different hour or what not. That was my point for OP.
I know this board has many younger members and newer drivers. I was a dumbass on the roads when I was younger but I was lucky to not get in too much trouble. Now I'm older and wiser.

Onramps are my favorite. WOT till I get to merge speed... if I can resist going faster. I often manage to drive within five or ten miles of the speed limit everywhere else, but on ramps? You're SUPPOSED to get up to speed!
Even better, those stupid ass onramps where you have a stop sign right before the merge point. WTF used to be my response to that, now I have to wait for a HUGE opening to merge in because of how long it takes to get to speed. 230hp in a light little Sonic, that opening can be much smaller, because I'm willing to burn a little rubber and a lot of ethanol to get into the slot.
Can't say as I have the braking issue the OP has though, I only need to get up to fast enough, not so fast I need to brake to avoid the guy ahead of me. Well, no, there was that one time I went to 125 and the taillights ahead came at me pretty fast, I did brake a bit there.

I'm one of the older ones, I think you looked past the fact that he is praising the extra power his tune has given him and he's going to "wear out his brakes" sooner. The further posts of 1,500 dollar Brembo brake jobs should have kind of brought that front and center for you but clearly did not..... And your lawn, you bring it out for everyone to see, it will get stepped on.

I am not following your last post. If I read that right, you're saying that upgraded braking performance will negate the ass-riding result. It's true but to a point. Let's say that as soon as the OP comes gunning behind someone, the situation in front changes - there's a car that pulls out of a gas station or someone in front gets on their brakes for what ever reason. Now OP needs to really stop in a hurry and he's at a disadvantage of greater speed than car ahead as well as reduced distance.
The best brakes will not help here, because at this point, it's all about traction. Better brakes will NOT provide shorter stopping distance in an emergecy situation, where your brakes haven't built up heat. In this case, the stopping ability is COMPLETE determined by how much friction you can put down on the road, and that's changed with better and grippier tires.
What the upgraded brakes WILL do, is provide better heat transfer and dissipation and better fade resistance. This is useful on a racetrack where there are repeated heavy brake applications. The best brakes don't make a lick of a difference in an emergency street stop, where OEM brakes are more than ample to provide the force needed to activate ABS.
