Danny. Do you have a 2013 rs? You can take the rear piece out of the bottom grille without modding.

It takes a little skill to modify the grills but it can be done. So far it cost me $200.00 parts and paint total. I just wanted to prove to all the negative bloggers it will work!

Looking very nice! I'm glad you got this to work but im a little confused on where it wasnt fitting originally and how you modified the tabs to still work.

On top grille you must trim the sides as shown

the difference is barely noticeable

Bottom grill will fit but you have to shave the top corners and cut the two top corner tabs (that insert into the bumper)

I sent foxbox some pics but im talking about the 2013 rs grilles. Yes I took my foam out then painted my crash bar black. After getting the 2013 rs grills I removed the backing on the lower grill. After cutting the the retainer clips and shaving the tip corners slightly they will fit. You need the drill them in with body screws. The top grille needs ti be modified alittle more.

I never got the pics.

I like the grill looks great on the car, good work man.

opcorn: Sub'd! Great work so far. Could you take a clse up of the front Chevy badge with the new grille in place. Thats the area that looks very different from the pics you've posted. If the surround is "too" different you could also hack the stock chrome surround and frankenstein it together.

tell us exactly what you bought or was it just the 2 grill inserts from an RS? or did I miss that part in the thread?

that is exactly the look i'm going for to get rid of the black bar. although i'll probably mount something on the back of the grill insert that's exactly the same shape as the stash since i'm 99% sure that's and aero thing and allows mounting the plate holder.
