Well Im 46. I have always liked small cars. Practically every car I ever owned has been a small car. (Pinto, 2 Metros, 3 Escorts-1 brand new, Aveo, Sonic-2nd Brand new car) I have also had a brand new Dodge pickup 1500, and a brand new Chevy S10, 1 used S10) So yup, most of my vehicles have been small.

34 here, love my new Sonic. Wish I could have been able to afford the turbo though! NO complaints on my first tank fuel mileage: 33 mpg!! Great after getting only about 11 mpg for years.

Cool - it is quite apparent that the value of this car is age independent.
The 40 yo's are falling behind, but not enough data to make any conclusions.

I wonder if all ages are buying for the same reason.
I bought it because it gets me a fun car with great MPG while supporting our own economy.

I'm 42 and this is my first new car. Mind you, I've only been through about 10 cars in my life (many of them beaters). Even though the Civic price was competitive, I just couldn't picture driving such a dull car, especially compared to the sexy Sonic hatchback in Inferno Orange.

And although I'm Canadian, anything we can do to get manufacturing jobs back to North America is fantastic. Our economy and middle class was built on good paying manufacturing jobs, and we can't keep shipping money overseas just to save a few bucks.
