Cell phone mount

Easy one here. I personally hate cell phone holders that 1: look big and clunky and 2: I just hate anything that suction cups to the windshield. I found this cell phone holder on Amazon and it works great. Here is a before pic.

Put the plastic disc on the side closer to the center and bottom of the pocket to the right of the radio.

Squeeze your hand into the pocket and push the clip to activate suction and you're good to go.

Just wanted to add that the mount that is shown in the DIY fits larger phones such as 4.3" screens (just upgraded to a Droid RAZR) with the provided longer arms.

will that also work for mounting a gps unit in the same way as the cell phone mount. i hate having gps mounted to the windshield as it is a pain to reach foward to touch the screen and the power cord gets in the way sometimes.

Not sure how much you use heat- but where Im from its a law to keep the maple syrup and bacon warm at all times.
I've had mine peel off (by itself) being suctioned on the side closer to the heater vents and have had much better luck putting it on the side closest to glove box.

Hard to tell. Does that mount rotate for your phone to be sideways?

Just got a mount hoping it would fit in the passenger storage area. It didn't fit... The mount is awesome just need a place for it. Tried hot gluing a plastic disc to the base then velcro to the upper storage area on the dash. Didn't work so well. Ill figure something out If not I guess its going on the windshield, just really don't want to stretch the charger cord that far when it needs charging.
