Bringgo USA & CAN finally released for Android

Here is what I have found so far.

1. If you intending to use this with your MYLink the icon does not appear on the unit and Chevrolet doesn't know anythign about the release yet.

2. If you want to use the software on your phone Bringgo will not do screen rotation. You have to have the device verticle. Also if you use bluetooth to play Pandora while you try and use Bringgo you get no sound from MYlink until you shut down Bringgo.

I had to Pay .99 to down load Bringgo then pay $59.99 for a premium account all to find out this doesn't work.

I have gone to Bringgo website BRINGGO and it is flat out horrible. You can't log in, you can't download the manual. This was a very poorly thought out release.

arathkopf, did the dealer do the reflash so the BringGo icon would work on your in car color screen?

If you do not have the BringGo icon on your MyLink radio screen, you need to get the software updated at your dealership. They have the information now to do so. The service bulletin # was posted earlier. Once you get the software update, BringGo will be accessed on the MyLink screen not your phone (that's the purpose, right?).

I have not tried it yet but sometimes when Software companies release stuff there is an update shortly after to correct some things...

Keep in mind this is most likely a bringgo issue and not a Chevy Sonic or Mylink issue...

It seems that the BringGo app is not compatible with the latest version of Android, 4.2.2. Hopefully this will be rectified soon.

I am goign to have MYlink software updated Monday. It took alot of effort on my part because none of the dealerships in my area knew anythign about it. I had to call MYlink support and have them call the dealership to instruct them what needs to be done.

It says right on the app page the $1 download includes 30 days of premium access - you didn't have to pay the $60 until verifying it would work

That explains why it's showing as incompatible with my Nexus 4. Hopefully the iOS version comes along soon.

Yea, I have a Nexus 4 as well. Seems like a lot of apps aren't optimized yet. So much for getting the cutting edge

I just picked up my car and they did they MYlink update. I can now see icons for Tunein and Bringgo. First thing I noticed though was that I can't run Bringgo and have Pandora running in the backround on the MYlink device. Its says you must shut down the other application to launch this one.

I figured out a quick workaround by keeping Bringgo up on Mylink and just setting Audio to Bluetooth and playing Pandora that way. I can still see Pandora on my phone so this will work.

after trying to get this figured out all day and getting the run around i finally got the info i needed!!

call the dealer go to service then tell them you want the update for the spark mylink if they don't know what you are talking about tell them you have the PI service number

that number is: PI0914 (it was supposedly sent out on 02/18/2013)

but its the update that fixes Bluetooth problems, adds siri voice commands, tune, bringgo, and xm radio problems as well as other stuff. Dealer said it should take about an hour to do.

there you have it now go demand it!!!

also found out that for now the bringgo app is only running as a trial app and that it is not the full version. it will be coming in about 90 days... possibly (according to mylink services)

whatever you do, don't login as guest the first time you launch the app on ios. I'm stuck with a completely broken app that doesn't do anything but tell me I'm logged in as Guest and can't download map updates.

Uninstall the app and local data then reinstall....

Uninstalling deleting local data and reinstall does not work for this app in iOS.

Meh, thats a problem with iOS... glad I run jellybean....

plus I don't have the MyLink so this does not affect me.

It doesn't include a LOT of devices, although on the previous page it says it should work on almost everything with Gingerbread or later. My understanding is that 4.2 devices are blacklisted at the moment, although I don't know why. The weird thing is that the BringGo Brazil app shows as compatible.

It doesn't matter much, truth be told. You can't seem to create an account anyway. Or even try to log in with an account.

yeah, sorry. I missed putting that in my post. App state seems to persist on IOS even when the popup states that app settings will be deleted when the app is removed.

Doesn't sound like the app's worth much of anything right now anyway.
