Code after installing intake on my tuned car

So I installed my short ram intake and I have a trifecta tune now I keep getting the code p0171 it's pissing me off. Any suggestions??

What intake? Does your tune have ECP? Check to make sure the MAF is sealing properly in the intake.

Figure out what the code is and if it isn't something telling you your engine is going to pop use the 1.6 EZ Flash and turn the code off. Or.... take care of it the right way, log the problem and send the log into Trifecta.

Its a lean code.

Go back over the intake and make sure eveything is tight, fitting together properly, and DBL check the MAF sensor connection and make sure its sealing.

If all that's good its probably the intake itself. What kind did you get? Air could be flowing over the MAF differently than the stock box, tripping the code. If that's the case a data log should fix the problem and maybe per RDSS using EZ flash to disable it.

or if it's a ZZP and you don't have an ECP enabled tune, and you took out the insert.

What's ecp?? Yea im gonna try a couple things on my day off messing with the MAF SENSOR AND MAYBE CHANGING THE WEAPONR filter to a k&n. if that doesn't work I'm gonna throw the factory air box back in and if that stops the p0171 code I'm going to say it's the WEAPONR. So ill probly end up buying the injen short ram intake. I don't think it's the tune tho

A) don't buy the Injen if you're looking for performance.
B) ECP is enhanced charge prediction. I bet you don't have it.

ECP is Enhanced Charge Prediction. Its a feature Trifecta offers that makes the computer use the MAP sensor for airflow prediction instead of the MAF. It allows the computer to self adjust itself after intake mods have been added...... intakes can skew MAF readings, ECP. Fixes that issue.
