I made my own cargo area protector using a piece of vinyl padding.

This will be used when my seats are down, as shown

Cost 2 dollars and 50 cents.

I tried to contact Design Rides a long time ago, but they never replied. How much would one of those run for a non-RS?
Not that it would survive my 2.5"+ drop.:sadbanana:

got this in the mail today had to put it right on..

really easy to install. i was able to put in on and tighten up from the top. but if you have big hands you will have an issue and may want to go from underside..

no it comes with a mounting plate you unbolt two bolts that hold lifting points for the engine. then bolt the L plate there then bolt the shield to it. it also has a stud for the bottom.

took me like 15 min the and it only took that long because the bottom nut it hard to get to..

Installed the 19mm spacers I picked up off of Derploader. RS suspension is next on the list, might have to wait until the 23rd and see if firstorbit is available to help me out at the base hobby shop. Might do the back before going in so I just have to do the fronts when I get there.

I can probably give you a hand on that day. I'll probably be working overtime for a few hours, and I should be able to help you either before or after.

remember Sunday the 24th is the autocross in Green Cove

I do not know the price but he (John Williams) indicated he has taken orders for some, four or five, I can't remember. This is truly a family business, very small and very busy.

I had to repeat email him on more than one occasion but over the years I have concluded many aftermarket product makers are just that. Oh, the lady who acts as the receptionist (his mother I believe) just had hip replacement surgery so won't be answering the phone for a few weeks.

My RS has a .4 drop from the factory and I plan to do another 1 to 1.5 soon; won't be 2.5 but getting there. If I was dropped that much I would be more worried about the exhaust than the front. Yes, long ago, I pancaked an exhaust, no harm to the body front or rear but a whole new exhaust needed. Went from a dual (say 1.875) to a single (say 2.5) and perceptively picked up power. Dealer said I would get 6-8HP which may not sound like much but this was a 65HP engine. My first performance mod!

I go out again on the 24th.....lol. Just a week this time though. We can figure something out.
