Bought my 2012 HS Sonic!!

I bought the 5-speed 1.8L in Black! I get to pick it up tomorrow. Fog lights and 16" wheels. I hope it's amazing because I was only able to test drive a auto 1.8L.

It is better . It does take a little time to get to know the shift points . I don't know why but that is the general consensuses . But all in all I think you will love it .Good luck and take photos . We really like pics here .

Yes, you are having a highly annoying issue. But nowhere in your post do you say that you are unhappy about your choice in buying your Sonic. Others are having various issues also, and none of them have said it either.

This is the one picture i just took today when i went to see if it was ready. They still have to do the detailing / sealer etc etc. Sigh.

Edit: I'm definitely going to be painting those factory wheels black in the near future

This is my first manual transmission car and woo I'm having a blast. I hate to say this but I traded in my turbo 350z automatic for this sonic and I don't miss the 350z at all. I'm having a great time learning how to shift and I have yet to grind a gear! I'm curious though and I could use some tips on starting from hill assist on a hill and if im supposed to be revving the engine hard to get up hills.. The hill assist kinda worried me and i started to go but i was only creeping up the hill while my car sounded like it was dying lol... eventually it caught up with itself.. im curious if this is bad for the car and if I should just give it more gas when going up hills.

Wow, that hill thing sounds all sorts of confusing.

Hill Assist is only on when you stop on an incline. It would never engage while already moving.

Have fun rowing the gears! What does HS stand for anyways?
