Note: My car is "slammed" (I put quotes there because it's only slammed compared to most Sonics out there. ) so that might have helped mpg.
Also, my tires might have been overinflated by 5 psi all around. (40psi) (I say might because one of the tires might be leaking. My tpms light has been popping up every 2 weeks or so lately)

This was driving from OC to SD without traffic. (Approximately 100 miles) And no, I did not hypermile. (at least not conciously. I was bouncing between 60-70mph)

I love my Sonic...

This tank might turn out to be a good one. Saddly im sitting at only about 83%highway. That being said my supposed range is at about 470 miles right now.

Happened last time I went to the dealer and had warranty work done on my car.
(about a year ago)
I think they reset something, and that happened. The people there didn't really know how to change it back on the top of their heads, so I just left it like that. Haven't really bothered trying to fix it since.

push menu until you're oil life, Pneu, Lang set, or unit set pops up. scroll to Lang set. hit select. rotate it to 1 instead of 2.

When you say you are following for the sake of the format, are you guessing or is this what the pump and trip read?

Here is a quick update:

Swordsmith is easily winning the "Long-Haul Trucker" award @1795.9 miles.

Preloader is also easily winning the "I <3 OPEC" award @18.668 MPG.

sx sonic is winning the overall MPG @45.554, but others are close.

d.p. is winning "I drive WOT on the highway" award with 24.984 MPG.

Newcomer sinnerone is winning the "Change Purse" award for having the highest MPG using regular.

Macehammer is winning the "Audit me, I have pics and a tinfoil hat" award.

EDIT: as requested GeneralZod wins the D-bag award.

Interesting note that confirms a few things in the MPG discussion section. Mix drivers are getting better MPG than highway drivers. The Sonic, especially the hatch is not a clean areo car and the sedans are proving it. But we knew that anyway.
