Let the modding begin ... I put my order in through BNR for the full tune. The price got me as I'm a sucker for a good sale.

I debated back and forth on the Budget or Full Tune but, I was highly intrigued by the idea of updates in the future when I'm sure to spend more on mods. I feel the few extra bones to pick up the full tune was money well invested.

Next I'm leaning towards the DDM intake and then the ZZP exhaust a few months down the road. I've read many different exhaust setups and being I live here in Florida, which has no emissions, I'm leaning towards a turbo back setup with a single high-flow cat in place of the secondary cat. Overall this offers me the sound I want along with performance. Still debating on this being the right setup for me so I welcome opinions. Also if I cannot buy the turbo back in one purchase I plan on piecing together but, starting from the O2 housing and working my way back.

Piecing the exhaust together will cost a lot more in the long run, but if you must, you have the right idea, with starting with the downpipe.

Also, unless you don't a ridiculously loud exhaust, you probably want to at least have an aftermarket resonator. Straight pipe was unbearable for me.

Resonator AND replacing the secondary cat with a high-flow? I figured with at least one cat I'd be alright on sound.

Also piecing together the exhaust from BNR works out to be only $60 more at $860 total compared to $800 for full setup. o2 housing 280, mid pipe 180, and cat back with high flow secondary cat 400. I'd love to buy it all in one swoop but, can't see myself dropping that much at the moment.

I'm running a hi-flow 2nd cat and catless downpipe. It was too loud until I put a magnaflow resonator on it. Like piss off your neighbors within a 2-block radius loud.

I dunno about my neighbors but, I'm sure I just woke up my room mate when I played that exhaust sound clip. I really should check my volume levels before I play a video.

But, ya that's wayyyy to loud for me. I used to drive my old Talon open o2 and lets just say I have a new appreciation for exhaust sound.

Very nice, around what I'm looking for. I remember reading on another build someone had just a resonator. I'll have to check out a few more sound clips from around the forums before making any decision.

Eric, I've read through most of your build ... you've changed exhaust a good amount. Your current sound is a bit much for my taste but, the in car volume doesn't seem unbearable.


With the ZZP set up, my assumption is 1 high flow cat and the equipped muffler would do enough for my sound levels without sacrificing much performance. Seems the addition of a resonator comes highly recommended though.

Damn these sales ... DDM has a current "Tax Season Sale" Offering 10% Off .... The DDM intake and heat shield are listed at $220 and the shift bushings also interested me as well at only $25. honestly, I think a ZZP turbo back with muffler with be perfect, unless you want a cat.

if you don't want a turbo back, you could get a high flow cat and a catback with no muffler.

I'll have to scan the forum for more sound bites. I can't say I really "want" a cat but, I figured one cat with the muffler would do enough to keep the volume at the level I'm looking for.

Preloader has a 14" resonator and a high flow cat.

After reading ALLLLLLLLL of the ZZP exhaust posting and checking numerous soundclips. I'm pretty sold on a turbo back ZZP setup with the muffler. The volume is just around where I want to be. These are two Eric posted awhile back.

I might change to another muffler in the future but, overall I can't complain for a full turbo back exhaust for $800.00. I am though leaning towards putting in a secondary high flow cat. Emissions aren't an issue here in Florida I just am not big on the added smoke out the tailpipe. Lastly, from my knowledge the only thing cats do is catch unignited fuel so adding a high-flow cat there would be no difference in back pressure in comparison to a straight pipe, any clarification or comments on this?
