Sounds beefy. I like it. The first minute of soundless pictures almost killed me. And then I had a day dream moment where I imagine someone running off with your camera when you left it unattended to get in the car and rev it with the door closes. hahaha

But yeah, it sound just right. Let us know if you experience any drone after you do a couple long highway trips. It's really hard to simulate until you actually have to travel a sizable distance, and then you'll know if its a problem or not.

I for one, find the build threads, the most enjoyable section in this forum, and never ignore a single one when it is updated.opcorn:

I know you just did a relatively large mod on your exhaust, and maybe are disappointed with the lack of responses, but you have to understand that there has been sooo much exhaust mods already done on this forum that it didn't exactly stun the community.

It sounds like you are very happy with it, and that should be your first and most important motive.

Please don't just become a lurker. I'm sure others with the 1.8L are watching every step you do, and benefit from your updates.

It's an exhaust on a 1.8. it sounds like all the others. not really sure what us with OVER 9000 are supposed to say.

Modding is kind of a rabbit hole. I get excited when I order a new upgrade. I dance around smiling everyday in anticipation until it arrives. Then I install it, enjoy it for a day, maybe a week, and then it's old news and I'm on the hunt for my next fix.

This is how I remember my entire life with any vehicle. I hope I get gratification when I receive a compliment on it, but more often than not, it just makes me feel like I need to do more.

No offense I have a 1.8 also. I appreciate you going into great lengths to tell us you went and got a custom exhaust system put on. I didn't feel the need to express anything about it cause.... well.... i don't care. you didn't do it your self you went and had a shop do it for you. Its just a magnaflow muffler with some bent tubes....nothing special... I just put in my DDM shifter bushings this weekend, it defiantly made shifting feel more sportier, but I didn't want to post up about it,why, because its been done a million times by others already and most know what and how it feels.... /golfclap im glad you upgraded your stock exhaust to a custom set up. WTG. Props to you. You are now one step closer to race (wait for it) car. You shouldn't expect a response from every thing you do on here, most things have been done many times over by many people and I for one don't feel the need to respond to each and every ones post because they did an upgrade on there air freshener. Just tell us what you did and move on to the next thing..If any one has questions I am more than sure it will be asked, don't take it to heart because not many people felt the need to respond or post up props.We are talking about a sub 20k car.

Thanks PreLoader! It did indeed. But i feel this way everyone wont have to sit there and load up a bunch of different pages just to see how my car has progressed along now. It will all be in one set location and then they can comment or whatever through out the rest of the build thread. This way, if anyone wants to ask a question, leave a comment, they can, and stil be able to find all the things done to my sonic in one set area.

I Would have had this done sooner but with the whole site crashing incident, it took a little longer than expected.

yeah mine was getting that way too before i went thru and cleaned it up. I was getting lost at times trying to figure out where certain photos were at and such. so i knew everyone else had to be the same. So i cleaned it up and re-designed it. Now it should be easier to follow along

Not sure why you put the "If you dont mind me askin lol"... i dont mind sharing the information. thats what we all are on here for right?

Anyways... I myself got mine directly from 3D Carbon themselves. i contacted them, talked to a rep and got it ordered because at that time the kit was so new not many places were selling it yet. But i can tell you that this site 2012 Chevy Sonic Body Kits is the best site for you to go to for this spoiler i have. They offer the best prices for this kit and best service to know you are getting what you order and fast. Ive never had a problem with carID ordering things. I paid roughly $225 for mine unpainted and had a bodyshop here local paint it and install it for me. Of course now that its in mass production and on the CarID site its only listed for $178. Go figure lol. oh well. Its a nice strong built spoiler. and surprisingly very light. Cant wait to get the rest of the body kit so i can get the car looking even better!!

April 2013 Update - Window Tinting In The Works...

I am currently in talks with a Gentleman that does window tinting for a profession to get my Sonics Windows Tinted!! I Finally found someone that does this stuff and would return my message i leave. Several companys in the area wouldnt return my calls. whatever. there loss.

This guy says he uses a top quality film called Carbon Tint. He is willing to Tint my Sonic's 4 Side Windows and the Rear Big Window for a Nice Price of $260 + Tax. I was told for this area that is a good deal for the type of Film being used. Im just working out the details with him and awaiting his response back on when he is available to get it done!! I cant wait to give this car some shades. Its going to look amazing when its done!

This is my plan of attack for this. Seeing how the Ohio Law states the Front Side windows must be 50% or higher in light penetration i want to keep as close to that as possible to keep from attraction attention to my car. So for the Front Side Windows im going to have him lay down 45% Tint...

Then for the 2 Rear Side windows and Rear Big Window since they dont have restrictions in Ohio im going to make it look Nice with a 18% Tint for them...

Like i said im just working out when and payment then i will get this done. Once i have a date set i will update this... then once i have it done i will be sure to upload some pictures!!

Again, this is if we can work something out to which i dont see why not but you never know lol. especially with my luck ha ha ha.
