I am looking for some feedback on the best way to wash my BLACK Sonic. I had the Xzilon Protection Package done (cant wash for 10 days) but now I need to know the best way to keep my black paint looking great !!!!
I was also wanting some tips on the first wash and general exterior maintenance of my car. I don't have the Xzilon package and my car is Cool Blue. I live in an apartment complex so I don't have direct access to a hose for an at home hand wash.
I have the black metallic paint and I wash it a couple times per week. Since it never is all that dirty, it's fine to use rinseless car wash.
These are the products I use (along with 8 microfiber towels):
Optimum No Rinse Wash & Shine: clay lubricant, optimum rinseless wash, no rinse car wash, optimum detailing products along with water and the microfiber towels.

I use 1 microfiber towel for the top, then the windshield. 1 for the rear bumper/hatch then the hatch glass. 1 for the hood then front bumper. 1 for left side (both doors, fender, rear fender thing). 1 for right side. 1 for the door windows. 1 for the wheels (If you don't have rear disc brakes, clean the back two wheels first because they will be less dirty).
Then spray a little of the Aquawax on a panel, then dry off that panel with a waffle weave towel. Do this on whole car.
I then drive around a mile or two to blow all the water out of the cracks and use the last towel to go over those water spots/rear hatch (you don't want the towel to be damp. Wring it out before you go over these spots).
