I want a little bass in my car but I don't want a crap load of extra wiring or space taken up. I want a lot of things..lol

I'm a bit spaz because I'm getting ready to head out to plan my ink! I'm EXCITED!!

I had a $4500 system installed in a standard cab pickup a few years back. The only thing you could see was the Eclipse headunit. All wires were hidden. It took a lot of hours to install though, many people just run wires wherever they feel like it.

If I could hide two 12's and two amplifiers in a standard cab pickup I have to think the Sonic has a ton of possibilities.

The Vibe came from the factory with a sub built into the side wall in the hatch... Ideally I'd like to replicate that but not sure how that would work.

Cmon dude I had that much bass with a pair of 1950s AR 10's in a car years back. :banana:

OK maybe not that much, but they worked pretty good until the voice coil formers separated from the asphalt cones due to heat. Was able to hit 117-118db C weighted in the car though.

Obviously I can't capture the magnitude with an iPhone video.
But my Adam's apple vibrates so much that its hard to breathe when I have it turned up.

You do realize even low frequency sound at high levels will cause permanent damage right?

The loudest system I had was with a pair of early 1960s Electrovoice speakers driven by two 1958 112W mono amplifiers. I was able to peg my radio shack SPL meter past 126dB 12 feet from the speakers. They had 18" woofers with 1/2" thick styorofoam cones. Very strange yet very efficient speakers.

And yeah, you felt that in your adams apple.

Now days, I avoid sound that loud. 110-115db C weighted instantaneous is fine occasionally but I've got ringing in my ears and I don't plan on it getting worse.
