It's actually out of a 80s John Deere tractor (4850) with duals on the back and front wheel assist up front (not too be confused with 4wd which has the same size tires all the way around)

I did alil work in the field this week and thought to myself "this trans is bad ass". shifting thru the gears at WOT under a full load and never even thinking about touching the clutcth..... this is perfect for Vince.

Anywho the upcoming mods sound exciting. have you done anywork to the throttle?

Nope. I haven't really given it much thought. It's so far from the fuel that knife-edging seems pointless. Aside from finding a larger bore TB that would be a direct swap, what is there to achieve there?

Not a whole lot can be done because of the intricacies of the throttle bore itself.

However the throttle plate screws are quite long and the throttle shaft is quite thick. For a few hours of labor those areas can easily be reworked.

I'm thinking of lowering the volume of mine soon and just running a cutout at the track. It's getting to be immaturely more loud with every extra horsepower I add.:blankface:

I used to work down the street from that tunnel and even though it was quicker to get on the freeway on a different on ramp I took a ten minute detour almost daily to drive through it.

Derp, Andrew is running the ZZP turbo back with HF cat and I'm not sure if he has a muffler. I agree, the two days I had just the muffler on mine was to much, it doesn't sound horrible and there really wasn't any added resonance, I just feel odd driving around sounding like I'm a teenager making all kinds of noise (loved the forge BOV but swapped out for the same reason).

ZZP Catless DP
ZZP MP
ZZP High-Flow Secondary Cat
DDMW Resonator-Only Exhaust

The resonator-only exhaust was perfect for me with the stock DP, MP & secondary cat, but when I swapped in the ZZP forward pipes it got real loud and mean. It's really too much sometimes but I love it. I just crank the stereo up to 45.

I'll go tonight and run through the parking garage at the airport.

hey vince is the 14gt super turbo really worth 900$ though? do you honestly think thats a fair deal on it? and vince would i need the bigger injectors and a new tune for it(does trifecta even have one ready for that tune)? I read something about the motor needing to be meth/water injection, are you doing that too or is it not really a priorety?

The stock injectors are pretty much maxed out with just a Trifecta tune and nothing else. I think you'll need injectors at a minimum.

Do I think it's a great value for $900? Absolutely not.

You can get a brand new flanged turbo for less, but then you'll end up spending more to accommodate it with hot and cold side piping and external blow off.
(Also, I ran it by TriVince and he can easily tune for it.)
I think VTuner charges like $300 for a ported intake, just to give an example of how ridiculous his prices are. But I'm not frugal when it comes to my happiness in hobby.

Also, nobody NEEDS water/meth..... It can help make power, especially if you plan to keep away from e85. It allows you to ramp timing up, in a similar way that e85 does. Water/meth can be used with e85 also, but now we're talking about putting frosting on a cake that isn't baked. It only makes sense after all other more effective mods have been done.

Lastly, if you are going to be getting serious about adding gobs of power, you will want some bigger injectors. More power requires more air and fuel. It's that simple.
