What I meant was that the Focus is as close as it gets for a domestic rival to the Sonic. (Dodge Dart? Don't make me laugh)

Well, technically it's the Fiesta and Fiat 500 that are Sonic rivals. The Cruze is meant to rival the Focus and Dart. But I suppose you made your point.


And that's a nice kit. Low key and the mating lines match the body lines. Although I'm sure that front lip wouldn't last long on a lowered car in PA.

Thanks, the subtle, almost factory look is what peaked my interest in this kit. The front lip will need constant paint touch up with my drop. It puts the lowest point even further forward of the front wheels.

Since its got to be painted, and I know hate going all out, are you molding the lip to the bumper? Mock up looks great, BTW!

Honestly, it lined up so tight to the stock bumper even without the hardware that it may be fine. But I could always seal it to the bumper later.

I believe it will fit the sedan. And I also just wanted the sides and front from the kit.

The sides snap on with existing mount points and a little double sided tape. Super easy. The front (and rear lip) require a sub panel be mounted under the stock bumper and drilling through the stock bumper.

I'm going to try my best to avoid that by getting a little creative.

You wouldn't entertain the idea of painting those fenders while you're in the shop, would you? That's pretty much the only thing keeping yours from being my favorite sonic.

Too many broken body lines.

I think painting it white and leaving a line exposed towards the top that flows with the hood would look great or maybe leaving his stripes exposed and carbon with kawi green strips to blend it together. I also like it the way it is as well.

Ehhhhh...... While I agree about the busyness of broken lines, the full CF fenders have grown on me. In person the CF mesh on the contours of the fenders looks spectacular.

I initially wanted to paint them white all the way up to the hood line, but I shopped around for decent quotes and couldn't find anything reasonable.

Body shops seem to feel that making crisp transitions from painted to non painted lines should multiply the cost by 4.

Besides, I wasn't proactive about having them UV clearcoated and they have already begun to haze, so I'll likely white them out completely before their 2nd or 3rd year.

Also if all the CF was white I'd be more inclined to paint the ground effects gloss black. But as you mentioned that would compound the inconsistencies.
White, CF, semi black and gloss black. Directionless.

It's 5foot 9.5 inches.

Check your sedan and LMK what you find.
