It's a great car, though the Air Conditioning knob that controls where the air goes will not go to the head area only position. I'll mess with it a little more before I take it to the dealer to have it looked at more closely...

I had the same issue. I just muscled it into place, and haven't had an issue since. I'm not suggesting you muscle it instead of seeing the dealer, just letting you know you aren't (weren't) alone.

Took the car to the dealer this morning to look at the air flow control, they said there is something wrong in the control assembly so they ordered a new one. Hopefully it will be fixed in a week or so...

mines a little janky but i think its just cheap . it is funny how 2 is gentle breeze and 3 is hurricane and 4 is tornado

The dealer had to adjust my vent control because it was stiff and finally broke. Been fine since.

Heard back from the dealership today, apparently the factory did not have the linkage available so they had to put in a priority request for the part. It supposed to over night shipped from Anchorage and should arrive tomorrow. So hopefully Ill get a call in the morning and get to sit for two hours while they fix the air con!
On a side note I filled the gas tank for the first time this week and it only cost $38.00! Yay for no more $50.00 to $70.00 tank fills!

Mine is similarly stiff. I suspect mechanical air flow door binding will be a long term problem for the Sonic.

After a little over a week of waiting for the part and 7 hours they finally got it fixed, yay! Apparently the routing of the cable makes replacing it a pain in the butt...
