1 Big Pep Peeve of Mine......

Ok, ok, so, OK, so here's another, OK...

I'm driving along in the left lane, following at a reasonable (maybe a little too close honestly) distance behind someone who is slowly overtaking the guy on my right. Some jackass in an orange... oh Hi Smit. Anyway, some guy comes screaming up behind me, shifts into the right lane, goes up past me and squeezes in between my bumper and that of the guy ahead of me. And then goes, guess how fast, yep, exactly the speed I was going because hey, that guy ahead of us isn't speeding up.

I'm not sitting there going slow in the left lane because I'm wanting to, I just get that being five inches from his bumper isn't gonna get me there any faster than being a few car lengths back, and a good deal safer. Meanwhile, swervejerk just endangered the guy ahead of me, me, the guy that we're all passing, and probably the guy behind us.

Well someone mentioned drivers in both lanes (right & left) going the same speed. I dispise that also. This happens on the road I drive every single day. HOWEVER--I cant completely blame the drivers. This stupid highway itself is the problem. There is a stoplight (averages 1 a mile) I mean, I drive 22 miles each way. I go thru 21 stoplights.
--With the speed limit being 60 MPH Cars are going to drive the same speed. I do have a solution, but I doubt the states would adhere, and probably most drivers wouldnt understand. Im not real sure how this could be policed either, but this is my fix for a (non-city) 4 lane with multiple stoplights.

2 different speed limits. (Since most cars dont have digital speedo's like we all have). Make the right lane 55 MPH and the left lane 60 MPH. (or 60 & 65---65 & 70- whatever) you get the idea. Now on interstates (or freeways) you dont need the double speed limit. Im just talking about 4 lanes that have higher speed limits and frequent stoplights.

I have a co-worker that parks like that too. In fact, all of them do... One whom I particularly hate loves to badly park her gigantic ass Fwhatever50 right next to me even though I park at the end of the lot. By next to me I mean on an angle 3 inches away with her rear tire actually behind my car so I can't back out. And I'm the bad guy for getting pissed at her all the time.

I also hate door dings, so I always park like this.

I find a corner spot and park really close to the curb. what's really annoying is when the prick that is inevitably going to park next to me parks like on that line so it didn't even matter than I did that.

Yep, went to Red Robin today, my wife parked her Sonic in the same way, in BFE and with a curb on one side. Sure enough, when we came out, some a-hole parked right next to us -OVER- the white line on our side.

Be glad there wasn't a mark on my wife's car, or he would have a foot size dent on his (yes I have done that before :blankface: )

You damage my car, I feel its right to return the favor

The FIRST day I took my sonic to college this semester I parked it all the way in the back the same way and actually stayed in my car for another five minutes to see if anyone parked next to me. A huge hippy astro van pulls up next to me in a COMPLETELY empty lot. Over my white line and some dumb stoner kid looks right at me and opens his door right in to my mirror >:l so close to throwing his face into the ground.

When I had my ranger I was stopped at a red light and watched some jackass in a rodeo not paying attention as he flew up behind me. There was crossing traffic in front of me so nowhere to really go.. I could tell impact was inevitable so I told my passenger to hold on and I shifted to neutral and let off the brake so when he hit me I would get pushed instead of absorb it all sitting still. Sad that I could think this all out and plan for him to hit me.

Hit me he did, I was pushed a foot or so forward and the light went green a second later. I whipped around the corner and parked and was out of the truck on a war mission before the guy even budged from the light!

I proceeded to rail him about how lucky his dumbass was that one of us was paying attention and that he should be kissing my ass thanking me for the fact that neither of us suffered damage.

I was 17 and all he could say way "yes ma'am...yes ma'am.." Lol

People not paying attention to driving when they are driving is one of my biggest peeves.

I love when a cop is in the left lane going 55 on i-95 whith a spees limit of 65 and every other lane matches speed...

Or when I notice.. hey look that car is stopping let me alow down jic. Oh hey look that SUV in the next lane was to busy texting and is now in my lane and has smashed in my bumper...wort yet he was to lost to realize he hit me till I flaged him down...and only damage is his busted reflector. ..

Or or ppl who text ans drive...should be illegal

People not paying attention to driving when they are driving is one of my biggest peeves.

Ugh I hate people. My school is full of horrible drivers. Last year I was backing out of a spot about to pull away and a dumb blonde in a bmw flew out of a spot and hit my jeep. I saw it coming and I couldn't believe she tried to run away. I put it in drive and ripped out of the lot after her. I catch up next to her and yell at her to pull over and she won't even look at me so I continued to chase her driving over medians and on the grass next to her at a light and she still tried to run. Called the cops and gave her plate number. They wrote a report so she couldn't try and ever file one against me. Turns out it was daddy's bmw all along. Dumb little brats. Good thing my jeep is a tank.

I hate ppl that speed up and slow down where I can't pass them. It's a 65 mph highway you have a nice newer car, use the cruise control, plz.

Or ppl with cruise doing 20 under in a no passing situation. My thing (and one of these days I am going to get shot) is when I finally get around I will drop 10 under what they want to go for a few minutes. I doubt most of them even figure it out.

You haven't seen my pops, he is 70 and still is a speed demon. Has over a million miles and has not caused an accident yet, course he is the exception.
