I want to do the clutch and flywheel. problem is i want an lsd too. And I don't feel like pulling the trans twice. Its going to be a pricey upgarade so it will be awhile..

You don't have to pull the trans to install the LSD. Just a fluid drain and axle disconnect.

If your not changing the ratio.no need to pull the trans. It's all done through the diff housing. Easy peasy lemon squeezy

But if pulling trans, installing it on the bench might make life easier

I'm a noob when it comes to water/meth. Hell, I didn't even know what e85 was a year ago.

My take on the W/M is that by itself it doesn't offer as much performance as e85.
And since it was less involved to get set up, I took the e85 route.

I am definitely considering W/M on top of the e85, but this is one instance where I think I'll sit back and let someone else pioneer the way.

An AFR gauge will be vital for tuning the W/M injection. Ideally you want the AFR to drop 1point when injecting meth. Anymore than that and performance will suffer.

I am new too it as well . As i would like to try the e85 getting it were i live is slim to none.. so i will try this route and see where it leads me. just waiting on a response from ddm I think i will be getting the aem kit..

well finished up the install of this today.. yea 14.hrs it took me idk why don't ask.. between dropping things in trash cans having to fish them out to my little one running off with my tools as soon as i turn my head.. or worse trying to help.. ..

here is a where i mounted the tank and pump.. I dont really like this I think i am going to make a kind of stand up mount for it. I cant put the upper floor piece in with it the way it is..

This is exciting stuff. Clean install man. Is there a reason you mounted the tank all the way in the trunk? Also, have you considered a AFR gauge to help dial in your injection ratios?

I look and looked under the hood for like an hour trying to figure out or moving something.. i just wanted a place that would be refillable easily.. an AFR Gauge.. I did look into it.. but don't really understand it all like i said i am still learning this..

I'm new to w/m myself, and am gathering info at a slow comfortable pace.

What I have heard is that when you're injecting w/m, ideally you want the AFR to drop one point. From 14.7:1 to 13.7:1. Any more than that and you'll be hurting power more than increasing it.

Now dialing in the perfect amount of injection may be possible with an UltraGauge or through a lengthy series of logs through Trifecta. But I imagine an easily legible AFR gauge would allow you to get dialed in expeditiously and then allow you to log and fine tune the rest of the fuel requirements faster.

Again, I am not well versed with w/m but I'd be careful just throwing darts in the dark with injection adjustments.

Or, even better, get on the phone with Dave (which you probably have already done) and have him get you at a safe starting point.

Vince said he can adjust the tune to read a wideband in place of the narrowband o2, so a second bung isn't necessary to run one. And the innovative LM-2 has to outputs, one to the signal for the engines ECU and a second to drive an AFR gauge.

I mention this because the w/m will be mostly for WOT and at WOT the AFRs fall out of the range that the narrowband can read.

A standard narrowband AFR gauge will still be beneficial dont get me wrong or let me encourage you to spend more money, but just consider the wideband idea.

yea i was going to go with the wideband. would i need a second bung.. does the engine actually take into account what is is reading off the o2 even with the tune?

I just relized that i should be able to use the second o2 bung since i have no cat i wouls assume with the tune that its not even reading the second one????

O ok the lm-2 is nice but dam.. 250.00 and then more if i want a gauge.. but the logging is pretty neat. i was hoping to keep it under 200..
was thinking about an aem guage i would just install another bung

actually i like the db guages from innovate. they have blue match the rest of the gauges..

That will also work. And you could talk to trifecta about running that signal to the ECM for logging, then putting it back to your gauge after you've logged.

The options are plentiful.

I will be doing a little write up on it sometime this weekend. waiting on my afr guage to come in then a fine tune it then onto sending in logs. It will be a slow process since i only have one day a week off normally

Well just installed this.. Not quite done.. the led don't seem to work even tho i checked and rechecked all the wires.. but i calibrated it by the instructions and it seems to be reading correctly.. I still need to get a pod mount for it.. as its just sitting in the hole.. And I spliced into the os sensor line of the car to pull the narrow reading off this to go to the computer. So i didn't have to put in another bung..

Very nice. Matches the stereo well. Also the location is great. Those pockets are useless anyway......I never use them.

When is the LED supposed to light up?

Can you test it to a 12v source to confirm its working?

yea i need to check it. i been working on car all morning so i will check it tomorrow. last day off before going back into work..
