So i was more or less driving my rs like an ass today and when i parked my brakes were smoking. So im thinking maybe i should get some better pads and rotors my question is do the other sonics after market rotors and hawk pads fit the rs or am and all the other rs owners sol?... also are the bowties the same size as the basic lt ltz hatch sonics?...thanks

hawk pads are good severl different types to choice from. ddmworks sells some upgraded hook rotors they also have the hawk pads.

So fronts are the exact same as the base sonics? Rear brake upgrade would be cool i had the hps hawks on my last sonic they were great just some more dust but much better performance

rear I don't think anyone has any.. don't quote me on that tho.. As most of your braking power is from the front so stock rear is fine

I was gonna say the same. Upgrade the fronts, then see if the rears need attention.
The reason I would want the rear upgraded is that I've never seen any stock car be able to lock the rear tires under heavy braking. I'm looking to minimize the stopping distance by getting them closer to their limits of lockup.
I'm going to wait to upgrade them until their is a option to get the rears up to par and doing a more significant amount of the work.
