The Cruze feels faster in some ways, probably due to the gearing and yet I often find my self with the pedal to the floor where my Sonic is almost never floored.
Overall I think the Cruze is slower then the Sonic.
Both are stock of course.

These cars are pretty light weight, which means weight ends up mattering a lot. I feel a big difference between when I'm driving alone and when I have a passenger or two.
