Do you know where in the manual you saw that? I'm not seeing it anywhere, or can someone from BringGo confirm it works in the paid version?

If not in the manual then in the BringGo faq or store site where the difference between the 99 cent and the 49.99/59.00 is outlined.

My confusion. Traffic is not available in the trial version.
I did notice one must be connected to the Internet to use Traffic and wonder if that applies to Google Search? I also wonder how one connects to the Internet thru in the car BringGo. Obviously these are choices I have not tried.

Dear all,
The differences between the trial version and the in-app purchase is described in the FAQ - BringGo
and in the stores' app description.
Traffic is not available in the 30-day trial version.
Google Local Search is available in the trial version and full version.
You will need an active internet connection on your smartphone for both traffic and Google Local Search.

Any idea why it's not working for me? I do have an internet connection from the phone itself so that isn't the problem. It does work on the phone from the main BringGo menu, but I have to select the categories each time. Problem is if I select Google Places from the menu it never works there. But I don't see a way to sect categories there or when it's connected to my Sonic, could that be the problem? That the categories aren't staying selected?
Just saw the below on facebook, anyone know if it's true? And if so when the update will be available?

Dear All,
There has been an API change to the Google Places search function. The app needs to be updated to accommodate this change.
The Android app update is available on Google Play. The Apple app update is currently in review by the Apple team and will become available once approved.

Thanks for the information Bringgo Support. Any idea when the iphone version will be available? Sounds like you're waiting for apple, how long does that normally take?

I did the update last night, now while driving a route and there's a traffic condition you wish to avoid, it cannot route, and loses connectivity to my phone-- says (Check connection to your device) then poof it's gone, won't reestablish connection until after I reboot my phone (tried task killer, tried firing off Pandora, then back to BringGo... no joy, only way was to reboot).
I'm so glad I decided to NOT get this update until the bugs have all been worked out.
It's too bad they cannot thoroughly test the updates, revisions. I paid $60 for an application I really want to work, and feel like I'm an unpaid Beta-tester @ this point.
Do they even have a Sonic in their inventory to work on these bugs in house?

You have identified the basis of my complaint against Chevrolet: necessary resources should be provided but evidence indicates have not. One resource, a MyLink equipped Sonic or Spark must have been provided since versions of both were designed and assembled in S. Korea, which I believe is the home country of the BringGo engineers.
But now that I have it working I am quite happy with it although I still have not figured out how to connect to the internet while driving down the road.
I did not know beta testers were paid.

Thanks BringGo support, improved linguistic error, etc..
In service, Chevrolet Aveo was mylink update. Lasted 3.5 hours and now there are icons.

Other than the one huge ass bug that Bringgo has by not operating on most devices....
Was traveling on I-81 south in Virginia around mile marker 23. Was running Bringgo traveling to a location in Johnson City, TN. Right at mile marker 23 the app just shut down. Would not come back on. About the time I crossed to Bristol, TN (right at the TN/VA border) the app would restart and resume navigation.
I thought it was just a fluke.
When I headed back north on I-81 back to Virginia the app shut down again around mile marker 12. It would restart again after about mile marker 25. Must be some type of corrupt data killing the app in that specific area. I haven't driven that stretch of road again to see if it will duplicate.

Chevy is having enough trouble getting BringGo to function as it is advertising. We definitely do not need more confusion. Maybe after BringGo is meeting expectations they can venture forth to other things. I clearly believe Chevy would provide as much support to WAZE as it is so far providing to BringGo; now that I got BringGo working I do not need more confusion.
Let it rest.

I would think that opening things up to other developers may increase the chance of getting a working app to the mass market. The folks at BringGo are just not getting it done, leaving thousands of pissed MyLink buyers with a product that doesn't work as advertised.
Of course any newly developed navigation app needs to be thoroughly tested before release to avoid another fiasco like BringGo.
I've had my Sonic for less than 2 months. I'm starting to wonder if the 'new' GM is going to stand behind their product.
Just to let you know I did get the update yesterday, looks like google places is working at least so far.
