Is this at really low RPM, say under 1500? Mine does this sometimes, I believe it's something to do with fuel cut/engine braking and the springs in the dual-mass flywheel being loaded and unloaded with torque. It's annoying as hell...
yes it happens most often at lower RPMS, around 1500. Its happened at higher RPMS but i'm rarely ever over 2000 rpms aside from the interstate. Its not very loud at all, if the AC and radio are both off I can hear it.
Its the AC clicking on and off. With a drop in RPMs, the car simply doesn't have the power to run both AC and all other mechanicals so it ends the compressor for a short duration.
Or so this is my best guess. You can tell via the air coming out of AC vents when they are full blast on a hot day. You will notice real quick when the car decides AC can be cut briefly.
That clicking would be the type R relay switching on and off.
Was actually watching that when posting.. It may have subconsciously influenced me a little lolEverytime I read the thread title it reminds me of one of the most prolific rules from Zombieland, "Always do the double tap". hahaha.

.
I can't recall when it started, but it's been a long time. I'm not sure if it's normal, or a result of my mad shifting skills. I feel like I've damaged my flywheel, though it's fine at other speeds.
