So Bringgo... I'm sure I know the answer to this but I'll ask. When do you plan to add the new Samsung Galaxy S4 to the available download list?
I see in the past few months you've managed to add ONE device on the approved list yet added in what looks like another 25 or so to the unapproved list.
This is really looking like an app that isn't coded properly to work with most devices versus most devices having hardware issues so severe it can't work with your app....

exactly the same as mine. Phone needs to restart routes we value. Always crashes.

Hello all!
Does anyone know if there is some way to search for a specific business on the BringGo App? I have found that I need to have a physical address to get any directions (or filter through the various menus). For example, I have tried to get directions for "Target" using the search, but it doesn't find any Target stores... Is there some way to do this on the app, or am I too spoiled by Google Maps? lol

This thread is so useful! I am going to buy Sonic 2013 after a month with MyLink, so I will try BringGo navigation.
It seems to me that the car is so cool, but I saw many negative reviews about BringGo.
My question to BringGo support, When do you expect BringGo app to work perfectly without any bugs shuch as routing failing, searching on google, or connection problems? After 3 months? 6 months? 12 mothns?
BTW, I like the idea that we can interact with BringGo support and get respond shortly. Please keep doing this and try also to repond to problems in Twitter. I am sure it will help marketing the app.

I downloaded the bringgo trial a while back. And it was ok at best. It stinks that it needs my phone all the time since the car has GPS in it. It would be great to download the maps to the car and just use the phone to load the route and shut the phone down after. But anyway. I have not used it in months has anything changed or is it still an ok program. I would not mind spending the cash if it was a great product

Dear chjata,
You may search for POI names using the function POI names: Menu > POI > Names. In addition, we would suggest that you review the user manual to understand the various search methods for POIs (Points Of Interest) and addresses. Please see the site: BringGo.
If you have an active internet connection, you may simply type the search request into the Google Places function on BringGo and, if it exists, you can use this as a destination to route to. We hope this has been helpful.

Thank you for your message. The issue with Google has been resolved as per the earlier posts. If you experience any routing issues, we would need to have the start and destination addresses in addition to the location where the issue occurs. We can then examine in detail.

Update on BringGo use @ 6100 miles:
Each and every time I route to a destination, reach that destination, then immediately (without shutting down the car, exiting the car, turning off BringGo on my android phone) select a new destination, it attempts to calculate the route, then says "No route available" sometimes or it will simply fall back to the map with my current location. I can search addresses, point to POI, etc... but cannot route.
I have found that if I try another smartphone app on Mylink (Pandora), and all allow it to completely start playing music, THEN go back to BringGo... I can then route to my next destination. It's a somewhat minor PITA do to that as you're look at a 2-3 minute process to get that accomplished.
BringGo still does this when you attempt a route with a waypoint as well. (Select the grocery store as a waypoint, then your home as the destination, BringGo will route to the grocery store (plus show the purple route that's the next leg of the drive towards the desintation... you get to the grocery store, then BringGo attempts to calculate the route (that was in purple), and it hangs/drops "No route" or simply pops back to the map with your current location. The only way to complete and get BringGo to continue is to jump into Pandora (or Tunein, etc)...allow the app to come up completely, then immediately fire off BringGo, it'll ask if you want to continue to your last destination, (YES) and away you go. I've done this now about 100 times.

When I reach a destination I now turn my phone all the way off, which means I do apairing when restarting but it works for me. I have no experience (other than my favorite dead horse OnStar) with navigation systems to compare so I do not know if this process is normal or not.
Whether BringGo is good or not, it has spoiled me. I am not sure I will be able to buy a new car w/o nav.

It is if you have an iPhone or one of maybe three Android phones they allow you to install it on.....

I am using it w/o problem on a non-supported Android. How do I know it is a non-supported cell phone? Because every time I use BringGo the phone shows a message saying this is an unsupported phone and use at your own risk (paraphrased).
And I am quite happy with it.
Oh, and I posted more than a dozen complaints in this thread until I was finally allowed to download and use the program, so I may be one of the forum members you ar thinking of when you said you had concerns.

Gigs used for Bringgo?
I only have 1gb in the Verizon plan for the razr M I have. Anyone out there know how many gigs they use for just running Bringgo?

BringGo doesn't use your dataplan unless you use the traffic feature or the Google POI search. When I've had either of those actually work properly, the data usage is pretty small.
