New Rims and Tires Sonic Sedan!

Hey everyone! i finally got the chance to get me some new Tires and Rims for my Sonic. Here are some pictures to show what i got. Love how this turned out. My sonic rides so much nicer now with these new tires. Smoother, Quieter, and already seeing better MPG with them. Very Happy with my Purchase...

I have 17s on my white Sonic and need to get rid of that awful wheel gap too.... just wondering 007 are you running coil overs or springs? If so which ones cuz I really like the stance of yours.

Nope im on springs. Kspeed. Dropped it around 2.2 inches. I have the 19mm spacers as well. Just painted the wheels. Im editing photos now.

Comment on low rolling resistance tires: I will NEVER install any on my car. I demo'd a car which had a set and I nearly went off the road while taking a highway off ramp! Those things don't offer enough traction!

But hey, that's my opinion.

Chivalryder ~ Since i have installed these new tires my car has not only ran much better, but overall MPG and so forth has improved. Anything is better than the stock Tires! So far i have zero complaints with them. Until winter hits i cant say about that. to which is one of the main reasons i bought different tires. The stock tires sucked in the snowy winter conditions here.

aaronalde8 ~ I have much more in store for my sonic. just coming up with the funds to complete the look im going for and i will have one very nice looking sonic. one step at a time and its getting there!

Sonic007 ~ Sorry, but my sonic is not getting lowered. i think it sits low enough as it is stock. i scrape my front end on almost every enterance in town because of the sloped entrances around here. My driveway being one of them. unless i angle the car just right im scrapeing that rubber peice like crazy. I understand why others want to do it. but for me its not on my "To Do" list.

I have things lined up i want to do and in mind already. but just like i said in my post. Just gotta come up with the cash to buy them and get them installed lol. The only thing holding me back is having the cash to do the ideas i have. If i can get ahold of the cash needed to get what i want to do i will have one very nice looking sonic. Just keep an eye out and you will see. all in due time opcorn:

I guess aftermarket LR tires could be better than the ones on the Volt.

When I bought my car, I had some Michelin X-Ice Xi3 tires and steelies thrown into the financing. Canadian winters can be rough, and it certainly was last season!

I completely agree that the stock tires are PURE GARBAGE! they have so little traction in the wet, they honestly scare the crap out of me. I cannot trust them to do anything short of tippy-toe around the city when it's raining.

Next summer, a set of Hankook Ventus R-S3 (Z222) are on the top of my shopping list, before the winter tires are taken off.

exactly my issue. winters here can be pretty rough too. and it definetly didnt take much for the stock tires to give me hell and cause way too many close calls. So i pony'd up and spent some cash to get better tires. i checked ratings and reveiws for several tires and these that i bought had high ratings for quailty, durability and handeling in crappy weather. so i bought them. Will find out when winter comes. If only i could win some cash and buy another set of the tires and have them mounted to the stock rims so not to ruin the Nice rims i just bought in the salty and snowy winter time.

I have the midnight silver wheels on my RS. I want to get black wheels instead but so many choices. I think they would look good with the Victory Red paint.

These are not the style of wheels that I expect to like, but they caught me by surprise on your car. They look great and really tie into the look of your Sonic nicely.
