I'm having so much trouble launching the car. I can't rev past 4k in the manual transmission. When stopped. And I dump the clutch to spin tire and get grip.... I try 3k and rolling off the clutch and nothing. The track was really sticky today. And I can't get past high 2.39 60' to a 2.6 mostly low 2.4s


Stock everything with tune. 15's

I had to go find my old post from earlier this summer:

I'm dumping the clutch around 2500rpm and flooring it for a split second before feathering the throttle. I short shift for the 1-2 around 5-5.5K. The 2-3 shift happens at about 5800rpm (as indicated by the stock tach). I go through the traps in 3rd.

I'm hoping to go on a Friday night T&T night soon. I've worked out some bugs, and also I'd love to run at cooler evening temps. It's always like 90deg F when I've gone on Wed afternoons.

Also, now that I've got my Flexfuel working and have had time to flex around, it seems like I'm stronger on 91 than on e85.:blankface: I need to some investigative logging.

A sonic, can run 13's at the strip with bolt on mods, can pull off well over 40 mpg, has seating for five, is less then $25k, and its a chevy! :banana:

You can drive around with stripped interior, nobody ever uses there back seats just keep the air lol

Wow! U must have got a factory monster!!!! 13's in a stock SONIC.....

If people want to get serious about lowering their wheel weight, I use to run Bogart Racing wheels, and still should be able to get some deals if people are interested.

(Previously I raced a truck with 64# stock wheels/tires on all 4 corners, and went with bogart racing wheels... 14# front, and 22# rears... Make a huge difference (that's wheel/moroso DS-2 fronts, wheel/MT ET Streets rear).
