Was thinking about getting a carbon fiber hood wrap done on my hood haven't seen one can someone maybe post a pic? Let me know if you think it would look good

I believe 60" by 48" would do the trick plenty of wrap in the 48" direction (I figure 32" would do) but the 60" would be a close call. $136 which is about $14 less than when I first looked.
Safest would be the 72" by 48" size.

Or save another 459 dollars and just get a real carbon fiber hood.

I did. Only with vents.
My interest in the wrap was and is quite simple: the carbon fiber has a tendency to turn gray as it ages, so my thinking is when needed to use the wrap to revive the appearance. I have the hood not for the weight saving but for the vents, which in my opinion helps pull heat out of the engine bay. If I had had the choice, I would have gone with a fiberglass vented hood, but I did not then and do not now.

How am I not the poster child for this?
I did this almost 2 years ago now. In Arizona. No problems with fade. 3M warranties the product for 5 years, and should leave no residue behind or damage the clear coat for 3 years!
I still get lots of compliments even with it going through it's second summer. I would love to have thrown the extra $6-700 into a real hood, but at the time it wasn't available, and I have used the money for other mods.

Carbon is real hard to do correctly. You can't stretch it at all or the weave looks all stretched out.

Hood looks good in the pictures and likely even better in person.

What is the actual point in this? If anything a CF hood looks poor compared to a painted one but people deal with it for the weight loss.
To rap a hood to look like something its not is just cheesy IMO. How about bolting on a fake turbo to a 1.8 and putting a fake NOS setup in the trunk? And lets not forget fake disc brakes for the rear.
Do they make a seat cover that makes a bench seat look like buckets?
If you're going to do it, do the real thing or don't bother. I'm not attacking anyone, simply expressing my opinion and thoughts on the subject. One thing I respect a lot about Preloader is he seems to always go all the way and he doesn't bother with B.S.

Well it's like how I dipped my hood...yeah I would LOVE a real CF hood, mostly the vented one for heat dispersement...but money isn't a common commodity for most people who buy the Sonic.
Most of us bought the Sonic because it was a cheaper more fuel efficient vehicle we could rely on. For some of us, including me, fell in love with it's fun side and wished to add a bit more to our drive. I bust my butt working but I'm no longer young or single. Family life ties up my budget, so for now...I'll dream, and hopefully save.

So why bother dressing up a car at all? Stickers, stripes, graphics, chrome or painting the surfaces? Hell, the pattern in your seats ain't doing anything for you, why bother with that???
After market wheels, fancy antennas, mustache removal, lowering springs. It's all just crap, right?
Well, that's fine for the Sheeple, but some people want to individualize their cars. Hey, I'm not attacking anyone, simply expressing my opinion and thoughts on the subject. One thing I respect about anybody that customizes their car, is that they had the balls to do it and not drive a cookie cutter stock vehicle. They had a vision, and I respect that.

I don't think wrap is "half-ass". It just shouldn't be compared to real CF.
It's a lot easier to accept when it's viewed as graphics as opposed to trying to actually pass-off as carbon fiber.
I can respect any kind of vinyl wrap over plasti-craft anyday.
