Yep and I can't drive worth a sh!t in the snow like most others around here. If there is 4" I'm staying home
When we went to my parents for new years I had to back the Sonic all the way up their 800+foot driveway with a running start because it wouldn't have made it going forward. Then when I stopped on a steep part when all 4 wheels holding I kept sliding back down. They can't use salt because its a dirt\stone driveway.
So I don't know how well I drive on snow\ice compared to others but I think I do ok. What I do know is a RWD car would not have made it.
Sure they can, just need a really good running start and spend the rest of the time wrestling to keep in straight .
Surprisingly a good portion of the vehicles i see in the ditch in our varying degrees of Illinois winter are AWD's, I think the straight line pull lulls people into a false sense of security when it come to turning, stopping and spinning. RWD and small cars tend to get stuck in the driveway or slight hills.
I know grandmas usually pass me at stop lights when I've got the truck :sadbanana:. But once a trucking, it'll keep on trucking. opcorn:
GOT APPROVED FOR THE SUBIE! I NOW OWN A 2013 BRZ! Galaxy blue baby
thanks
I picked this color out a few weeks ago when i was thinking about it, and when i saw a dealer 15 miles from my house had it i had to buy it
and as for a sc/tc i was thinking at maybe 50k miles to do SC. I have more heart for a superchargers for some reason. I'm not huge on turbo spool etc. I can't deny the power they make but i like the linear power of a SC, if i were to do that my goal would be around 275WHP
congrats
I have yet to see a BrZ in a color other than Blue
IMO the SC is going to have several advantages for a daily driver. First the torque is nice and linear which is not the case with all turbos. Second you have far less issues with leaks and over boosts given it is all on the intake side.
I know folks who are driving these fairly hard not really complaining about HP (off the track) you might be surprised on how fun the car is as is. Learn it first then when you see its weaknesses first hand that is when you modify
