Question for RS owners.

No problem here.

My RS is an auto. Matter of fact, I don't seem to be suffering from any of the miscellaneous problems people. Have with transmissions, Mylink getting bricked, random power offs in highway traffic, weird knocks of rattles... It's perfect. Knock on wood.

My build date is : Feb 2013.......It seems that perhaps the cars built after the mid-year model refresh don't have the "earlier" problems.

My RS was one of the first one's off the line to hit Pennsylvania, in November of last year.

I don't think your hypothesis is proven.

Well yes there isn't enough data to prove anything yet, but you do have a 6t40e instead of a manual......I would be shocked if you were having problems with it beyond the normal automatic transmission behaviors.

Of course I don't have the tranny issues. I meant, I don't have any of the other miscellaneous issues people are having.

Well I did experience the grind( slight) but only on excessively quick shift with truck bearing down on me after poor judgement of pulling out onto highway. I really believe that shifting like a race car is too much to ask! I could be wrong but these are sporty economy cars.
Now if chevy determines that they are replacing or repairing transmissions with a better version when the customer complains, then I am all in.

On a few occasions I have has grinding sensation 1 to 2 gear . not always if I'm screwing around . sometimes when I'm just shifting into second like normal . The weird thing is it does not happen often .

I grind for a split second 80 percent of the time I shift from first to second in my RS. I simply cannot rev past 4ish thousand RPMS in first without grinding unless the car has a few nice launches under it's belt for the day already (seems to be more of a trans temp thing for me). Very annoyed with it. Changed shifting habits with no results. If I rip first hard enough I will grind every time. I have to wait for the revs to drop. I bought my RS in July of 2013 (not sure of build date) and I love the crap out of it except for this issue.

Be careful with launches you'll lose first aha don't ask how I figured that one out. It seemed tc helped cause the problem
