What is the difference between a Sonic 2012 2LT and a 2012 Sonic LT? What's the upgrade??

Their is no upgrade, just a $1000 dollar price difference.
The "2" indicates that the trim level has an automatic transmission. So a 1 LS/LT/LTZ is a manual, the 2 LS/LT/LTZ are autos. That and sometimes remote start are the only differences (well aside from MPG
).

So essentially a 2LT is a lower trim than a 1LT. Don't believe me? Count the pedals! you get ripped off on a pedal and charged $1k more.

Yes but you gain two more buttons (up/down shift) and you free your right hand to hold your beer or mess with your girlfriend.

I'm going to sound like a dork for this, but NOT IMPRESSED.
As for other responsible beverages and refreshments there are THREE cup holders in the Sonic + bottle holders in each doors.
As for messing with the girlfriend any real man can do this and drive stick at the same time.

I have a LT2 Sedan and it refers to A.) Having an automatic transmission and to B.) To the Options that are available along with that. I have the Automatic, Fog & Wheels Package, and the Connectivity Plus Cruise Packages on my LT Sonic. Because of the packages and auto trans mission that is why it is the LT2. Its just a reference tag for the higher ups to distinguish this model from that model. On the car itself it will either say, LS, LT, or LTZ... Along with a Turbo badge or without depending on the engine you got with it.

Makes sense. I only drink beer in the truck.
On a serious note. I don't drink any alcoholic beverages. Dealt with too many alchoholics in the family to want to put my family through it.
And I know a real man can shift and do other things. But sometimes it's about not taking your attention off the other person.

I believe it does.
For 2012 the only difference between the 1 and the 2 was the transmission. I can not remember for sure, but that should be true for the 2013.
My 2012 Autobook order says 1LT at the top and the 2013 says Manual RS at the top. Go figure.
