"Nice" set of rims AND tires for $900?
I guess "nice" is a subjective word. I would say a "nice" set of tires runs about $900 alone.

I'm gonna try and go with just diamond racing stealies but I want to run the hankook r-s3 tire, the lowest tread wear I can go in my class is 140. They are 200

Struts are in and the car looks to sit Alittle lower.
I'll be honest, the 2 miles I have put on then is not like holy crap they are stiff. Some areas they seem stiffer then other moments they feel spongy. So I don't know. Guess tomorrow is the big day for them.
Also to anyone who lives in the salt belt.
Rear upper spring mount. Keep it clean. I had a lot of crap in it

I always thought that racing harnesses weren't supposed to be used with stock seats. Maybe I'm getting this mixed up with something else... lol

Not sure, but I do know that schroth harness are dot approved, I really do not wear it on the street, mostly at the track. Make a hell of a difference when you don't have to think about staying in the seat

how was the install on the harness? I'm looking at getting the Takata DOT ones TAKATA RACING

Mine was a 3 point harness, not 4.
Install was easy though. I am swearing by the schroth harness.
I run 36-38 psi (over that and I felt they started to loose a lot of traction) on the stock tires and have been doing good with them. Given they have limits but my last event I was happy with them.
But then again my suspension is far from stock and my last event had the rs struts.

So it's been while since I have posted my plans for this build.
The car had a good year, autox's and track cross and the car just loved it.
This coming up year mod list:
A-arms
Track tires
Bnr sway bar
Finish brake upgrade
Couple little odds and ends
Not to much planed for this year.
I'm very happy with the car. Just gonna keep rolling with a good thing.
More racing to come!

$ub$onic, I'm just peeking through this long thread of yours and ... I am in total awe of what you've been able to do with a bare bones Sonic. Goes to show you that if you have time, money and ability you can do wonders. Sadly, I have barely enough of the first two and zero of the last. ;-)
