It would be really nice if this thread was setup so people would post a pic of their wheels, and in this format so it's quick and easy to see what fits and what not, and delete all the comments or put them in another thread.

So if i wanted to run say a 17x8.5 +56 wheel, im gonna need about a 25mm spacer it seems
how wide of a tire could i run on a setup like that? right now its stock rs height. I may put coilovers on it but it wont be maxxed low.
id really like to run a little taller tire too actually, i dont have a problem rolling the fender. a 245/45/17 is what id really like, but i feel like to do that id need an adapter less than 25mm to tuck the wheel in a bit more and clear the fenders, which could result in issues with inner clearance.
any input?

I was looking at these rims on ebay (just looking for ideas, and I realize they'd need to be redrilled)

and I'm confused by the sizing because of the lip. It has an ET of 40, but then it also lists a 2.5" lip (which is obvious). However I don't understand how other rims that don't have a big lip can also have an ET of 40 while the spokes sit much flusher to the top of the rim. Something like this:

Fender distance to hub is ~85
As for inner clearance, you might be cutting it close in the front with a smaller adapter, but I'm not totally positive on that. I'll try to look into that a bit more.
(but for reference, an 18x9.5 +42 wheel did NOT clear the front suspension. An 18x10 +17 wheel DID clear fronts on stock suspension (no negative camber))
Rear fitment should be just fine. If it pokes too much, a hint of camber/minor fender pull should solve your issue.
Sometimes, ads will use different pictures to make the wheels seem more aggressive. When that is not the case, it is really on the manufacturer of the wheels. Every company makes their wheels a bit different like that. Maybe the wheel with the bigger lip will have a thinner mounting pad. Or maybe the face of the wheel is convex (curves outward) to allow for a higher offset. When you look at offset, you're looking at how far the end of the mounting pad is offset from the center of the wheel. Like this:

sadly, I don't think you'll be able to get much of a stretch on 7" wide wheels unless you get some really undersized tires. (which would make the wheels look really small).

Looking at purchasing falken fk452 225/50/16, would I have a problem using these on the stock LT rims?
I ran 225/50/16 on my stock Z24 wheels which were 16x6 if I'm not mistaken and I had no issues at all...

Not gonna fit (throw off the speedo and you'll have almost if not any gap which could cause issue. My winters are 215/50/17 and they erase all gap (I'm on eibachs
