that's not the 130, IIRC.
The 130 looks awful from behind.
Former HHR SS GMTU Owner. Unless I misunderstand the upgrade is just a flash. Shouldn't need to replace the MAPS. $1500 is an absurd thought. If just a flash, perhaps $200 just to make it worthwhile for GM.
Also have started HPTuning my car. Nice! No fueling or timing yet.
I think that's why they have been doing concepts of the 130R.
They've been doing "stages" since the granddaddy of the US sport compact in the mid 80s. What I don't understand is how a Dodge Omni with a factory upgrade kit is STILL faster than its modern equivelant.Well Dodge announced stages for their Dart turbo, so maybe Chevy is taking notice?
I'll believe the turbo upgrade when I see it. I'm still waiting for my b-spec parts!
Also, the new wrx will probably not look like that (although that would be awesome)...
The code 130r is supposed to be slotted under the Camaro (think fr-s competitor starting around $25k or less) and have the 1.4t as the base engine.

The Sonic will need over 300hp to match it. What are the chances GM will let you do THAT under warranty? lol.
I would rather GM provide a few different kits. I know you can buy the RS, but lower trims should also be able to buy suspension upgrades and brake conversions. The power isn't that big of a deal, we already have trifecta and various aftermarket.
Pedder's is a GMPP approved suspension, so there's a suspension that's still warrantied. ZZP has a BBK for the front and rear already and DDM is working on a front kit, those wont be warranty friendly but at least there are options vs just going out and buying a RS.
 LOL the omni was my first car! I had a huge box in the back, man that thing bumped! Got into so much trouble in that car :sadbanana: Top speed in that hooptie was 85, i pegged it past that many a time never knew of an upgrade kit for that car, was fun and easy to work on.
