We do! The heated mirrors come on with the rear defroster. It's in the owner's manual, which IMO a good salesman would have read already.
Without the child lock engaged, the door can still be opened from the inside. You just have to pull the inner handle twice, which a child can easily do. Now, with the child locks engaged, the inner handle is essentially deactivated and cannot be used to open the door no matter how much you tug on it (giggity).

(Rear Window Defogger):
Press to turn the rear window and
outside mirror defogger on or off. An
indicator light comes on to show
that the feature is on.
The rear window defogger turns off Air Vents
after about 10 minutes. It can also
be turned off by pressing 1 again
or by turning the ignition to ACC/
ACCESSORY or LOCK/OFF.
If turned on again it runs for about
five minutes before turning off.
For vehicles with heated outside
rearview mirrors, they turn on with
the rear window defogger and help
to clear fog or frost from the surface
of the mirror. See Heated Mirrors on
page 2‐13.
The climate control system will use
the previous settings during a
remote start.The rear defog may
come on during remote start based
