Illuminated door buttons

Hi everyone!
I´m wondering if there is any way to illuminate door buttons. Maybe dissasembling the switchs and putting a led or something like that.

I'm sure you could install an led in the well of the door pull, providing ambient light to the switches below.

Mmm I can´t imagine that as a clean solution...
I´m thinking more on making holes in the door switches, so I can install one led per switch. But I don´t know how are this switches assembled and I´m afraid to ruin them

Buy a switch set from GMpartsdirect, the dealer or a junk yard (if you can track one down) and pull it apart and see what can be done from there. It might cost some money but it leaves your car intact while you mess around with lighting options.

If you do install lights in the switches, keep us posted. I'm sure a lot of people will want to do it too.
Also take pictures of how you did it.

Well, yesterday some idiot messed one rear interior panel with vomit. So I had to dissasemble everything to clean it. I´m taking a look right now at the switch and there isn´t enough space to put a led in it as it is. But I´m thinking in a mod that could work.

I will take a look in one big junk yard near my neiborghood and see if I can buy one switch to mess with.

doesn't the front drivers side illuminate? If so can't you maybe use that switch in place of the rest of them?

Only the drivers window switch is lit out of the 4 switches.

That is right. Only drivers power window switch is illuminated.
But the switch is hollow. There is room to carefully place a SMD led in it but I can´t see how to properly wire it yet.
I´ll buy some SMD leds today and disassemble drivers door. Maybe the illuminated switch would give me some ideas. I´ll be happy at least illuminating drivers panel.

Wow, I just noticed that last night on my new Sonic. I thought that maybe there was a fault with the other switches not lighting up. I guess cost played a factor in it.
