well lets see----parking out in Egypt doesnt keep cars from parking out there too. It also makes dents/dings from runaway carts a much bigger problem. ---- It does HOWEVER help keep us "fat/lazy Americans" a bit more slim & trim. (because all these steroids and other additives that the farmers are adding to our food supply has nothing to do with bad health).
Walmart is no good-but Sams club is???? WTF!!!!! Do you not understand that they are the same company? ---- Im glad that you all do like Sams over COSTCO.
SAMS=an American owned company that gets everything from China
COSTCO=a Chinese owned company that gets everything from China

As far as NEVER going in a Walmart. Well All I can say is.... Thats fine and good until you become real adults, then real parents who has real Children, a real house (payment or rent), real utilities (elect/gas/phones/ETC) to pay, real car payments (usually 2) and a real job (that pays not so real pay)
Whether you agree with all of Wallyworlds politics or not, SOMETIMES it is the only place you can afford to buy some essentials.
Now I do still prefer to buy most electronics at Best Buy, and we dont buy too many groceries at Walmart either. Our Rx stuff is mail order (not that I really like them by the 90 day plan, but our insurance forces that).
So in a nutshell. I do agree that Walmart may not be your best neighbor, but they are cheaper on lots of things. And that is WALMART! Other places COULD sell their stuff as cheap as Walmart does, they choose not to. (Yes I know Walmart buys in big quantities so they likely get a price break, but other retailers have the same right to negotiate prices from suppliers. If they dont, then it is their fault, NOT Walmarts fault.
I really do agree with the NO WALMART (when I can) but really just to keep the other guys in business. I do like a selection of places to shop.
Im really just trying to explain that the low prices is because they fight the supplier for that low price. The other guys SHOULD also. They do have the right.
Of course - we the consumer - also have the right to negotiate the price we pay at the register. We just never do.
Are you retarded or something? The statement I bolded is only something a retarded person would say. We have a house, a family and two car payments and crappy normal jobs, are "real adults" and I DO NOT GO INTO WALMART. If I absolutely had to just to put food on the table I would but I'd rather do without other things than go in there.
Also, COSTCO is not owned by China. This is another statement I'm not impressed with. Costco is by far one of the better stores out there.

Next,
You're right, all of the small mom and pop stores and local grocery stores don't fight for lower prices. It has nothing to do with quantity.
My feelings towards Walmart vs Sams is about how the stores run their business, treat employees as well as the kind of people I typically see there. For some reason you seem to think stores are manufactures because if they weren't then the place the goods comes from is irrelevant. Sam's cannot control were Sony and other companies manufacture products. That is an entirely different discussion.
FYI "real adults" think before they speak.
OP : sorry for sidetracking the thread. Please accept my apologies as you don't need this on top of the PITA you're dealing with.
